Camp Arnold in Eatonville

Camp Arnold at Timberlake was founded in 1966 and is owned and operated by The Salvation Army. We are located on 650 pristine acres, with a spectacular view of Mount Rainier, secluded meadows, and a breath taking wetland beaver habitat. The camp grounds offers 3 miles of nature trails for hiking, canoeing on our peaceful lake, a challenge course, a climbing wall, outdoor playing fields for softball and soccer, modern cabins, an indoor gymnasium, outdoor amphitheater, dining hall, large outdoor swimming pool, chapel, outdoor and indoor activity areas, and The Old Pumphouse Espresso.

The mission of Camp Arnold is to use the beautiful setting of our camp as a means to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, teach environmental awareness, encourage positive social behavior and safely provide opportunities for fun and adventure. Summer 2014 Sessions

Camp sessions are organized by age groups, and most camp sessions run 5-7 days. Please see listings below for age requirements and dates:

Junior Adventure Camp - July 14-15, 2014 - This is a shorter camp designed to give younger children their first experiences with sleepaway camp adventures. For Ages 6-7 only

Discovery Camp - July 21-25, 2014 - Campers spend their days engaged in activities like canoeing, swimming, archery, nature hikes, climbing the rock wall and evening campfire programs. Every day we host chapel sessions that proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and give our campers the opportunity to learn more about who God is. For Ages 8-12

Tahoma Camp - July 21-25, 2014 - Teen campers engage in teambuilding experiences, learn outdoor living skills, go canoeing and hiking around the property and spend a full day at Mt. Rainier. This program is designed to create safe challenges and give campers the opportunity to experience Christ in His creation, all while maintaining the exciting feel of a summer camp. For Ages 13-16

Salvation Army Youth and Junior Music Camp - July 7-11, 2014 - Campers engage in daily music-instruction classes, as well as earn badges for The Salvation Army's scouting programs (Sunbeams and Adventure Corps) all while enjoying the usual camp activities. This camp is designed for younger kids. - For Ages 7-11

Senior Music Camp - July 13-19, 2014 - Campers participate in daily music instruction classes through singing, playing brass instruments and other creative forms of ministry. Please Note: This camp begins on Sunday, July 13th and continues through the following Saturday - For Ages 11-18

Musical Theater Camp - July 21-26 - Please Note: This camp begins on a Monday and continues through the following Saturday - For Ages 11-18



  1. Fill Out Application Form - Make sure you have filled out all 6 pages (one page double sided). On the medical information page, please be as thorough as possible. Please remember to provide immunization records for each child attending camp and a print-out of medications child takes regularly (if any).
  2. Provide Duplicate Applications (If Necessary) - Each individual camp session requires a separate, completed application. Example: If your child will be attending two camp sessions this summer, you must fill out two applications - one for each session.
  3. Pay Application Fee - This $30 fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Payment of the fee is due at time of application to ensure your child goes to camp. The fee is $30 per child per week of camp. Example: 1 child going to two camps = $60; 3 children going to 1 camp = $90).
